Welcome, and a Few Resources

Hello, and welcome to the home of Dancing Sage Wellness. I’m Anna Claire Lotti, clinical herbalist and founder at Dancing Sage, and the voice of all content found on this site. I’m so delighted you’re here, and wanted to share my first blog to let you know a little bit more about the who, what, and why of Dancing Sage, as well as some resources for those of you that may be herb-curious, but unsure of where to start.

Dancing Sage officially launched its website in November of 2017, though the idea and manifestation had been in process for quite some time before. It really began years ago when I started making my own natural lip balms and body scrubs and selling them to friends and family members (at their requests!). Over the years, Dancing Sage has morphed and evolved into something so much more, and continues to unfurl in new and exciting ways.

As a clinically-trained holistic herbalist, I offer herbal health + wellness consultations, in an effort to support others in living their most wholesome and health-filled lives. Herbal medicine has always been the medicine of the people, and much of the mission here at Dancing Sage is to encourage others to be empowered in their own health care and wellness, and to learn these practices and apply them in everyday life.

Much of herbalism is truly about lifestyle, and so it overlaps with many things, such as nutrition and diet, exercise, stress management, and knowledge of the self. Herbs can be incorporated in so many different ways, from foods and syrups, to bath products, digestive bitters, teas and tisanes, and so much more! Dancing Sage offers small-batch, handcrafted herbal products made with love and intention. All of the offerings are clinically-formulated, and contain only organically grown, sustainably wildcrafted, and GMO-free ingredients. You’ll never find harsh additives, preservatives,or synthetics here! Many of the herbs I work with are sourced locally or grown in my own organic garden, and what can’t be sourced locally is acquired from trusted sources in our bioregion and other areas of the US.

Over time, I hope to share many herbal tidbits and recipes, plant profiles, and other such richness. In the meantime, if you’re interested in learning more about herbs and herbalism in general, here is a list of resources that I’ve decided to share with you below. Happy herbal exploring!
